It is with disappointment that the f40 group has decided to postpone our fair funding education conference and executive committee meeting, which were set to take place at the LGA in Westminster on Tuesday, March 10.
If you were registered to attend the conference, you should already have received an email informing of the postponement.
Members of the organising committee have been monitoring the situation and, given increasing concerns about the impact of coronavirus, we felt we must put people’s health first under the current situation.
With a number of people travelling a considerable distance, some were understandably concerned about travelling and attending events at this time.
We were also mindful that a number of our speakers and delegates were headteachers, some from special educational needs schools, meaning they are in regular contact with vulnerable people, many of whom may have underlying health issues.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you, but we hope you agree that we have taken the correct course of action in the circumstances. The decision was not taken lightly. The plan is to reschedule the conference for later this year.
